Naughty
Playful and unpredictable in form, “Naughty” bursts with spontaneous energy, as if Nature itself were misbehaving with a smile.
At first glance, gogottes may appear as man-made sculptures. In fact, they are rare sandstone rocks painstakingly excavated from an ancient sand dune near Fontainebleau in Northern France. The ebb and flow of water through the sands “sculpts” each curve and contour. The concretion of quartz and silica lends an almost pure white appearance, enhanced by the custom- made lustrous black base.
Gogottes have long inspired art and design, from Louis XIV of France including them in Versailles gardens to surrealists like Jean Arp and Henry Moore.
Each piece in the Stefano Piccini Bespoke Nature “Sculpted by Nature” collection was selected for exceptional artistic appeal. Nature meets Art & Design.
